There is a batten along the entire spine so that the bag doesn't sag. This not only makes the bag not folding. It is also one of the reasons why the bag feels so well balanced and easy to carry.

Our strap lined with suede has been a success. However we have identified them as one of the few details that actually wears over time. In our ambition to update our bag we have come across another material used when making heavy duty RIB-boats which we have incorporated in the strap. This will be the normal strap that goes with the bag hereafter. The suede strap can still  be ordered as an add-on but will take a bit longer to ship and will be a little bit more expensive.

The whole bag is sewn with a high quality thread that comes with 15 year warranty from the manufacturer. The thread is about 8 times more expensive than a standard thread used for off the shelf bags. This thread is UV-safe which you normally don't find on a cheaper bag and that's one of the reasons why some bags tear apart quickly. As you may have realized by now these are some of the things we believe matters. So we are proud and happy to pay the extra cost as we strive to make a bag that will stand the test of time as far as possible.

Yes, they are plastic. But is not your regular plastic zippers, these are of the highest quality and used in the sailing world. They will last extremely long and they will even run better and better over time. Not a hundred percent waterproof but as close as you can get.
